Short-term rental guests decide how they feel about a property in the first thirty seconds. That judgment is made on smell, on the bed, and on the bathroom, which is exactly where a turnover should spend its time when the window is tight.
Strip the beds first, before anything else. Linens in the wash immediately means the laundry runs in parallel with the rest of the clean instead of becoming the thing everyone waits on at the end.
Reset the bathroom completely rather than wiping it. Glass, fixtures, mirror, floor, and a full restock of paper and amenities. A half-empty roll is the kind of detail that shows up in a review even when the property is otherwise spotless.
The kitchen is an inventory check as much as a cleaning task. Dishes returned to their photographed positions, appliances wiped, fridge emptied of whatever the last guest left, trash out and the bin relined.
Finish by restaging to the listing photos. Guests booked the room in those pictures, and a property that matches them reads as cared for. Then photograph the finished space: it documents the condition you handed over and it settles any dispute about what the next guest found.
